Do u think of inovative ways of doing your job as nurse?

how many of you when doing nursing duties sometimes think of inovative ways of doing your job. like ha! i think they should change this system and do it this way, it would be easier? just like in the past when you used to have to do mouth to mouth resuscitation with your bare lips, then someone came up with the inovative way of using the plastic pump now protecting both you and the pts mouths. is there an inovative way of something small that you do that you wish you could change for the better?

Yes, I like to vary the routine so as not to get stuck in a rut. If you do this one week, try and vary. And plus, it lets you see what way works better. I try to remember one thing, that just because it is the norm, does not mean it is always correct or most efficient way.
