The hospital in Racine, Wi called my friend for a position, the interview is on the 16 on june, she doesn't take her test until the 26 of june. She really wants this job.

If she has been honest with them in telling them she hasn't taken her test yet and they still called her, I don't see why they wouldn't hire her. They may make her passing the test a condition of continuing employment however. So, if she doesn't pass it, she may be out of a job.

I think it really depends on the position and hospital policy. For instance, some hospitals require CNA certification for a PCT position, some don't. Some require completion of the first semester of a nursing program instead of the CNA. It really depends on the hospital. Of course, if it is required, they will ask for the certificate. Being eligible to sit for the exam is also dependent on the hospital's policy.
