Do you think this would be goofy?

starting to research anatomy and physiology stuff ahead of time? Just general knowledge stuff like the joints, bones names, muscles, etc etc? I thought that if i just looked through soem general stuff on it and had a base, that when I started classes that maybe ti would be that much easier since the simpel stuff would already be absorbed?

Am i just crazy?

Frankly, if you've got the time, I think it would be goofy NOT to do it.

I pre-read most classes including anatomy, physio, and micro, and have maintained a 4.0 over 55 units of chem and bio. I find that pre-reading lets me hit the ground running and makes the first test easier. For classes where they drop one, there's a freebie. If not, it gives you a chance to see the instructor's style while you're as prepared as possible.

To me, anatomy is pretty much just memorization and recognition. Memorization is a repetitive process that takes time and getting a jump on it is very wise.

And I have issues with memorization.lol. My dh can see something once and have it memorized. I def need repetition to memorize! I am much better at deductive reasoning sort of stuff!

  • http://www.innerbody.com/index.html - human anatomy online - a very nice anatomy site organized by the 10 body systems. by clicking on labels of the body parts you get to more specific pictures of the various organs and body parts. a very nice basic tour of human anatomy. the left side of each page has quick links to parts within each of the body systems as well as links to animations on the site.

thanks so much goldenscroll! this is the only site i've looked into so far, and i'm glued to the computer. it's really interesting reading!
