Hi all,
I was wondering if its a good idea to take chemistry and microbiology together ?
What are pros n cons in taking them together ?
Thanks in advance

I'm sure it's doable! I'm taking gen chem with A&P II right now plus 3 other classes. Last spring I took micro with bio and nutrition and got all As. If you have the time to dedicate to both then of course it's possible. Micro is memorization & time consuming. I'm taking chem now & it's so much info as well

I took Micro with A&P I and did well in both. Chemistry is my worst subject, mainly because it's been so long since I'd taken a course in it. I had no foundation and therefore had to work a lot harder. If those are the only two classes your taking or if you're not working and taking a full load I am sure you'll be okay. Nothing is impossible if you work hard, you know?

I did it last semester and made A in both. Just study study study. By the way I also worked about 30 hours a week. You can do it! Good luck to you.

This is my exact situation this semester, taking Micro and Chem while working part-time. Your post definitely makes me feel alot better. :)
To the OP: I'm sure it is doable, goodluck to both of us. :)

If chemistry is not your thing, don't take it together with microbiology. These will be 2 hard courses. A's in science courses are critical to entrance in nursing school. I won't risk it. Generally you should pair a science course with easier non science course. E.g Chemistry with nutrition is doable to get A's in both. I know, every wants to rush off to nursing school, but if you get bad grades then the chances are lowered.
