Do i need a CNA license to be a vocational nurse or can i go straight to be a LVN?

I'm trying to start my nurse career but i don't know where to start. Would a vocational school be ok to start with?

Did you finished your LVN in a vocational college or community college? How many years it took you to complete?

I attended a private LVN program at a for-profit trade school that was 12 months in duration.
