Struggling Gal

Hi Guys,
I am now a current Hunter student. I just wanna make sure that if you wanna apply for the accelerated program, what courses do you need to take? I sent the email to the nursing adviser so many times, but never get any reply :'(
It's really confusing to read the Hunter online thing. It says you have to take all the main hard core science courses( Chem100, Chem 120, Bio 230 I&II, Psch 100& 150. Stat 113. Microbiology), right? However, if you reading, you will find out that you still need to take like history, English, art, and study of European culture, or blah blah. What the hell is that?
I've already had a bachelor already, so I really don't want to do the other general requirement classes. Also, if the Accelerate program only requires those science courses, is that to say that they won't look at my scores of the general requirement of Hunter.
Hope I explained myself clearly enough, and thank you for any of your response.

Just taking a stab at this... I looked at the website and it says that the pre-requisites are in bold. The classes in bold are the same classes that are listed above. I think they just listed them so you know what general education requirement they are fulfilling. Given that these are the pre-requisites for the accelerated program, I'm sure they are assuming that you have met the requirements for english, history, etc. with your first degree. I guess when you get your transcripts evaluated, you need to make sure that you have classes that can transfer to Hunter to fulfill your requirement in that area.

Hunter is confusing in general. Very competitive accelerated program but its often called the "Harvard of Cuny's" . Anyway... since your working on you Bachelors already, you've probably already completed the social science classes needed to get into the program. Focus on doing amazingly on those science pre requisitie classes and you should be OK.
I myself am completing my pre requisities from a different school but have researched accelerated programs in NYC extensively.. and Hunter is very well respected... just soooooo hard to get into. They want the best of the best and only have but so many seats to fill.
Good luck with everything tho.. hope this was helpful
