I already have a year in the ICU.
Do I need a very high GPA to get into the program?
Someone told me the chances to get into the program is 25 to 1 and this sounds like I will have a better chance to get into a medical school.
If you know the answer, please reply to my question. Thank you so very much in advance!

I think your chance of getting into school depends on many factors that the committee will look at. GPA of course is one of them and they range from lows of 2.8 to 3.2 with most around 3.5 or higher. So as for your friend saying 25 to 1 chance, I m not sure where that number comes from?? I think it depends on your GPA, GRE, experiences, certifications, level of acutity in the ICU you work and your interview experience. If you get to the interview process, your chances of attending are mostly 30 to 50% at that point. The process of applying is alot of work and weeds alot of people out before it ever starts. If you could take some grad level classes, it would increase your chance as well.
GOOD LUCK
