Do you find the nursing theorists/theories you studied in school useful in real life?

I'm studying Porifice's theory of humanbecoming. I find it hard to implement in the clinical setting. Did the theories that you studied in college come in handy in the clinical setting?

I have learned a lot from Roy's adaption model and Maslow physiological needs in conjunction with the nursing process. I wished nursing programs would emphasize their contribution to nursing practice. I also realized that NCLEX questions are scenarios and hypothetical questions are framed around these nursing theorists models . Thanks to Grntea previous posts :)
