Do you enjoy being a nurse?

Nursing is definitely far from what I thought it could be. We get treated like garbage on a daily basis by patients, their families, doctors, other nurses etc.. I try to enjoy work but it is very hard to do. Doctors expect so much from us and they want it now!!! plus patients can be so impatience and all this is so stressful. Do you all feel the same way I do? or do you enjoy working as a nurse. I honestly find it very hard...

thank you all for the feedback I do love nursing but It still feel so stressful and demanding at times.. I wish I could expend more time with each patient instead of having to rush because I have to chart so much and other stuff..

Regardless of how busy I am, I always finish my shift gratified that I have learned something, done something to better myself or have had the time to sit around. This is definitely a profession that I enjoy.

I think if you work in such a crap environment that you feel unsupported it's time to leave. The clinical side of the work is stressful enough without having to deal with politics and administration that is not behind you. Not worth risking your license and health.
