Thought I'd post a thread about this 'cause it seems like some schools have not received word on this. About two weeks ago the district approved blue pants (same color as the tops) to wear in place of the white pants. If your school has not informed you of this, check with them and have them check with the district. We start clinicals at my school tomorrow so I waited to buy my scrubs until I knew for sure. At my school we can also wear cargo scrubs which is another thing I was waiting for.

I have been following all of you "Spring '05 MCCD entrants" since before you found out you were placed. I am currently waiting for placement. How do you feel about your first semester? Was it what you expected it would be? Better? Worse?
The semester was great! It was stressful the first couple of weeks. The workload seemed pretty intimidating at first, but once we got into it and I was able to cross things off my "to be completed list" (exams, checkoffs, ect), it started to flow easier. I just completed my first clinical rotation and it was really fun. The only downside was the amunt of paperwork we had to do for clinical. Careplans usually took me about 5-6 hours to complete. I only wish the we could have done more skills, but Block 1 students are pretty limited with the amount of skills we can do.....I am actually sad to see the semester end...I can't wait for Block 2 to start!

I just emailed my instructors at Phoenix College to see if the uniform change applies to us too. (I'm sure it does....) I'm psyched! I'm just disappointed that they didn't "announce" it to the class. I had to hear about it from another fellow student at another college....thanks Mary!
I'm bummed! I went to purchase my new pants today and they don't come in TALL! Well, they come in tall but they're the elastic waist, narrow ankle type. Just what I need....more emphasis on my hips Apparently the only pants that match the shirts come in the Landau brand. I've enjoyed wearing the Dickies brand of cargos with the flare leg....in TALL.
Oh well, I just had to vent that I'm not going to get to wear the matching pants....I'm relegated to the whites
oh yuck! Are you sure the Dickies brand won't match? Did you try allheart.com? They have more of a selection of Landau's than Apparel Pro.....
No, I haven't tried anywhere else. I figured it would be too hard to find an exact match to the color. That's o.k. I'll just stick with my white pants. They fit well and I just bought two new shirts so that's enough. My other shirts were too big -- I don't know what I was thinking when I bought them.
To anyone who's thinking of buying the new pants: go and get them early. They don't have that many in stock in many sizes. They have loads of shirts but pants are a different thing.
