I would strongly advise you to carefully review your program's requirements for dissertation. Then read some dissertations of previous graduates. This will give you a more accurate frame of reference. Are you expected to actually conduct "research", or is it merely a lit review? If it is the former, you will have a complex process involving much hoop-jumping and approval by IRB before you can even think about finalizing a title.
The first step is not coming up with title... in fact, for most of us, we had begun learning (lit review) about our area of interest for quite a while before narrowing it down to a single topic. As a student, the goal is to learn the process... not to conduct original research. Don't try to do too much. Connect with an advisor early in the process, and follow his/her advice.
Best of luck to you.

I am struggling to this of dissertation tities! I have an interest in eating disorders so I was thinking of doing 'ensuring disorders narratives: personal experience of anorexia nervosa and bulima. However I don't believe the friend I would ask to answer the questions would be up to re living there experience as an inpatient.
Any ideas of other topics?
Thanks!
