Disorderly conduct charge???

Published

ok so here's the deal, Im only 23, some of my buddies were being stupid at a party one night and decided it would be funny to call 911 on some neighbors for a stupid fake reason and watch the cavalry come riding in. However when they did make the call they were very unruly to the person on the other end of the line. My friends also thought it would be funny to make the call from my phone without telling me. I was "enjoying the party" and was unaware this was taking place......lets just leave it at that haha. So I get a call from the local law enforcement a few days later, I know its a pretty stupid excuse and difficult to defend, but I decided to go ahead and go with the whole "my phone was stolen" thing. He didn't buy it so much and decided to go ahead and try to get me for disorderly conduct. I did not receive a ticket, and have not gone to court yet, I guess its pending, so my questions are:

I am in the process of applying to a few BSN programs, my stats are very high and have been told to plan on beginning a program in August. IF I AM CONVICTED CAN THIS AFFECT ME STARTING A NURSING PROGRAM?

WHAT IF WHEN I GRADUATE? I KNOW ITS A DIFFERENT STORY WHEN APPLYING TO TAKE YOUR BOARD EXAMS?

IF CONVICTED WILL IT MATTER THEN EITHER?

AND LASTLY, DOES ANYONE WANT TO SPECULATE ON THE BEST PLAN OF ACTION FOR THE PROCESS THAT IS ABOUT TO UNFOLD? Lets just assume for a second I can avoid a conviction.

CAN I KEEP THIS OFF MY RECORD BY PLEADING NO CONTEST? OR OFFERING COMMUNITY SERVICE? ETC, ETC

You've recieved some advice already in this thread and as already mentioned we are not able to offer advice about legal issues as per terms of service.

I guess you need to discuss thus with your university
