what a good topic! can't wait to hear the responses!
I was watching Discovery Health Channel and saw all the nurses explaining the patients condition, I wondered if any of those nurses are in this forum. I hope someone speaks up. This thread is starting to be pushed back.
Come on dont be shy!!!
I've never been on one of these shows, but I was watching Maternity Ward a few days ago and the whole show was about a doctor that I work with. I saw him on there and I was like ... what the heck?! It had been taped 2 years ago when he was at another hospital. I absolutely couldn't believe it though.
i wish they would do different specialties, and not just the most dramatic. this is not to say that i don't love ed and l&d nurses, but they get a lot of air-time. seeing some other specialties, especially where a lay-person would not expect to see a nurse (research, law, etc) would really be an education.

I missed it, but would have loved to watch it. Does anyone know if they'll run it again? :)
When I was in nursing school, they were filming for the show "Birth Day", and one of my patients was having a C-section and I was filmed in that one. Didn't do much but stand next to the docs as they did all the work. He was great in telling all the details of what they were doing and why--it was a pretty good experience. I had to sign a release to be able to be there. I have never seen the show, though (dont get that channel)

Did any of you in this forum ever participate in the recording of the Discovery Health Channel programs?
If you did, please share the experience. For what show was it for? Critical Hour..., etc?
