hello everyone,

i'm planning to apply for the fall of 2010. How do i find list of schools who offer this program? Also, i have pretty good pre-req GPA and general ed. GPA but scared of GRE. Anyone got into MGHIHP, simmons, U of texas austin, yale, columbia? If i want to go top 50 schools in the nation direct entry MSN program...what GRE scores do they look for? anything would help. thanks!

Precisely! So, in order to be accepted tot he Direct-Entry MSN, one must already have at least a Bachelor. So, all the liberal arts or electives classes are already taken, and yes should be transferred to be awarded the BSN. Some schools do it, why not all of them, right? It appears as a way to ensure the students finish the MSN program which is not a fair way to go about. Just my 2 cents..

Thank you for sharing your experience.

By the way,

Does anyone know the logic behind the amount of credits each school require for the MSN program? BC requires 70credits, while Simmons and MGH require 90-91. What's up with that? Of course, if you're paying cost/credit, BC ends up being way cheaper than MGH, am not sure what the cost/credit is for Simmons. How interesting, eh? Please share your 2 cents....

No...in order to direct-entry to VU one must have a certain number of college credits and specific courses...no bachelor's is required or entry. But after 2 years (full time) one earns a Masters because of those pre-entry credits. There is no bachelor's awarded along the way.
