Please help, instructor wants diagnosis not related to Fundamentals
How about activity intolerance? If her hct, hgb, rbc are low that's indicative of Anemia, thus feeling fatigue, etc and not being able to do the daily activities.

Students are cut-throat!
Do you ever question the integrity of your professors? Do they play mind game and try to flunk students? Weird behavior. Are professors always fair? What do you do if you suspect injustice?

Simmons versus MGH Direct Entry Nursing
Hi Tozz, Just weighing my options for both. When I saw the high tuition for the NP schools, I figured why not applying to the BSN program at UMB, where I was accepted. So, that's where I am at...

Need a loan but already have a BA in Comm
Yes, Isn't it crazy??? I was told the same thing too for a second Bachelors. So, I decided to go for the Masters program. And now, upon graduation, I will owe about $150,000 for an NP degree. The government should lift that restriction as soon as possible.

Guys, I don't believe I am all alone out there, but curious to know where other people are at. I am starting NP school in Fall 09 for Psych-Mental Health. Like most of us, I will need to quit work for schools. Of course, I will need Living expenses + the Tuition + travelling and Books. So, for the 3 years, I calculated that I will owe at least $150,000. Is this insane or what? I wonder what other people owe, will owe. and what good plans do you have for repayment. Upon graduation, I will need a salary of at least $100,000 to break even. Right? Please share your thoughts on this..... Does Psych NP make the money to repay such a big loan????? NPNICO

Simmons versus MGH Direct Entry Nursing
Hi Kobrien, Me too I like the summer off, definitely. It allows you to work and gain some clinical experience and lessen the stress, definitely. BC's program is summer and winter session, how rigorous, eh? My track is Adult Psychiatric. I am looking forward to start the program. Do you have a healthcare background already? We have to keep the line of communication going. NPNICO

Simmons versus MGH Direct Entry Nursing
Yes, but when you calculate the credits for the 2 summers and the winter sessions, it comes out to be the same amount of classroom hours and/or clinical hours. but just very densed. Juliewoo, where are you going to school? and why that school?

What do you guys do when...
Stay away from the glass of wine. You may like it to much and get more than just one glass, (not good!). I agree with everything else, just stay focus and remind yourself of what matters to you the most. I do applaud you for not giving up with a low GPA, just talk to the schools and see what they recommend. Good luck!

2009 Direct Entry MSN at MGHIHP
Does anyone know the logic behind the amount of credits each school require for the MSN program? BC requires 70credits, while Simmons and MGH require 90-91. What's up with that? Of course, if you're paying cost/credit, BC ends up being way cheaper than MGH, am not sure what the cost/credit is for Simmons. How interesting, eh? Please share your 2 cents....
