You can not predict, a lot will be based on any nursing experience and what your transcripts state. Everything is decided on an individual basis
thanks for your reply.
i have a complicated issue here, recently i had encounter some problem with my classification.
conversation between me and hr as below:
me: i have an enquiry regarding my pay rate that i would like to seek clarification on. recently, i have received a publication from anf detailing the victoria's public sector rn pay rate reference, which caught my attention.
my current pay rate class stated as yp4 which the weekly pay rate sits slightly above a year2 grade2 rn and lower than a year3 rn. knowing that i graduated on 1st july2004 and this is my 5th year in a rn capacity, i would like to understand if i'm entitled to the pay rate which published by anf or if there's some other information or clauses i missed.
hr:i note that you completed your bachelor degree in december 2007.
therefore the equivalent that would happen in victoria is
yp2 (grad year) 2008
yp3 2009
yp4 2010 (this is your current classification)
your qualification of a diploma is the equivalent of a grade 1/division 2. in victoria this is unable to be recognised as previous experience leading toward grade 2 grading.
although my degree was indeed completed in 2007, her response implies that my previous overseas work experience in a rn div 1-equivalent role has been completedly discounted and disregarded. after all those years of hard work, this is quite upsetting to me. i am wondering if she was correct on this matter.
question:
1) is that true: diploma in nursing(singapore) equivalent of rn div 2 in victoria?
2) my colleuage from india (diploma holder) with 8-9years working experience classified as yp10( year 9) after completing the bridging course in australia in order to register nbv. if her 1year bridging course equivalent of my 2years degree course, why my working experience can be discounted?
is there anyone experience the same problem, or having the same condition but classified as according to the actual working experience(oversea)?
looking forward for reply.
