Dilemma!

I am a recent graduate. I took an internship on a cardiac stepdown floor during school. Naturally I interviewed for a position there. In the meantime I found what I think is the perfect match for me, since my love is peds. I then interviewed on a peds cardiac stepdown unit. It went well, but the manager had to take time off for a family emergency. Now the other unit would like an accept/or decline answer and I am torn on that to do???? Plus I do not have an official offer from the peds unit.

P.S. I have wanted to work in peds since childhood

take the sure thing right now and if the peds position comes through then tell the other manager.

Speak to HR. Tell them you are very interested in the peds position, but have another offer and you hate to keep them hanging. They should appreciate your honesty. I would assume that someone is in touch with the peds manager in some way and could get a yes or no from him/her so that you could give the other job an answer. Good luck to you!
