Differences between St Rose Siena and San Martin

Published

I have an interview with both places this Friday and I was just wondering if anyone could give me some of the goods and bads of both places. I know St Rose is where I want to work and it will be on a Med Surg/Oncology floor but if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. There is only so much you can hear from locals that were patients and what HR and Directors will actually tell you. I want to hear it from nurse's perspective. I've worked for an HCA hospital here in KC area and well it wasn't the best experience so I'm hoping to have more of a team atmosphere then watch your back because lots of people have knives ready to stab you in it. Any input is great. Thanks!!

Congrats on the job opportunities. I recently moved from Vegas where I worked at St. Rose San Martin. While I never set foot into the Sienna Campus I can say that i have nothing but good things to say about San Martin. I enjoyed working there very much. I think it comes down to a few things. First, location. where do you live? I lived quite close to San Martin which was a huge plus for me. If you live in Henderson, then that might affect your decision, I dont know. Second, San Martin is much much smaller than Sienna. It is the smallest hospital i have ever worked at, but that certainly doesnt make it any less. St. Rose is a great hospital system to work for and I am sure you would be happy at either faciltiy. Good luck!
