At my school which is a community college LPNs and RNs need the same pre-reqs. Only reason why is because they have a bridge course, which means LPNs and RNs spend the 1st 2 semesters together then the RNs have summer break while the LPNs finish classes up during the summer semester then graduate. Once you are an LPN for 1 year you can apply for the RN program and only have to do the last 2 semesters. I know everywhere is different and not all schools have a bridge program. Good luck.

I've been looking at lpn schools in different states and I thought Lpn's only needed pharm, fundies , skills, med/surg 1,health promotions and lifespan and clinical 1 and 2.
The schools I've been seeing the program needs psych nursing, pediatric and med/surg, and mental health. Why do some school need it and some schools don't, if they are the same degree?
