So, I applied to a local hospital's CNA training class. I didn't get in. That part didn't bother me so much as the "You have impressive qualifications, but we are pursuing other candidates" one line e-mail from the instructor.
But, I went to Wisconsin's Department of Health Services to see what else was available. I'm trying to get everything done with the technical school, but boy, a lot of hoops. And money. There's another certified program that seems a less hoop-y and more focused on actually training. It costs more, but I'm going to see what I can do for that one, I think.
All this costs a ton! I really hope I can figure out how to pay for it!

So I notice you are from Shorewood, WI, and I did a little research that Milwaukee isn't too awfully far, and they have a technical college with a CNA program there, is that the one you tried to get into? I know I did my CNA program in high school and got my CNA 2 in the local community college. I see just by doing a little research there is the Milwaukee Center for Independence and they offer the CNA program but doesn't state when classes are exactly and it says you have to email the people in charge.
Here is that link to MCFI: MCFI |CNA Class Information
Here is the list of Wisconsin Nurse Aide Approved Training Programs and look at pg 13 for your area:

Hope this helps and good luck!
Milwaukee Area Technical College does have a CNA program. That's the one with the hoops. I'm probably going with a different option.

Good luck. Persistence pays off, but apply for all your options. You should get in somewhere, so don't give up!
