I applied for licensure by endorsement and also for a temporary license as well. I went to cali and did the Livescan 2 weeks ago. It said it could take 3 business days in order for the board to receive them. I checked online to see the progress and it still said "Pending Fingerprints" I'm not sure why. I tried to call the board and I keep getting hung up on after I click through to Licensure by endorsement and it says "The callback queue is full please call back at another date" Although I didn't even choose to get called back. I sent an email. Any idea how to get anyone on the phone with the California BON? Any help appreciated thanks in advanced.

The hangup could be the CA DOJ. They process the prints and sends the background check to the BON. You could try calling them. Also the place that performed the livescan.

Did you happen to get a hold of anyone? The same thing is happening to me.

What happened? Curious, as I’m flying out to do livescan in a couple of weeks
I emailed the board and they got back to me a few days later. Took a little over two weeks for fingerprints to be cleared, they cleared the week before my exam.
Did you do Livescan in CA but live out of state? That’s what I’m curious about… I don’t want to fly out there for nothing and them tell me I have to do fingerprint card instead …
Livescan is fingerprints. You don't need to do a physical fingerprint card if you visit California and do Livescan there. The reason to do it there is it is far more efficient than sending fingerprint cards to CA DOJ. Some applications have taken over a year - just more steps and lower priority. It is not uncommon after months to discover physical cards have to be redone. Some agencies will actually pay for a return flight to California just for Livescan in Sacramento - which means you can also hand deliver your licensure by endorsement application directly to the BON.

Hi do you recall how long it took for your livescan fingerprints to process? I'm currently in a similar situation where my application says "fingerprints pending" as well. Thanks!

In the same boat. Did Livescan at local PD about three weeks ago, still "fingerprints pending". May the DOJ is just slow around this time of year? ?
Update: Fingerprints were finally received by CA BRN on 9/20. I did Livescan at my local PD on August 18.

Hi! just saw this thread and wanted to know if you contacted them about your status of your live scan. I also submitted mine a month ago right after Christmas and it still says pending for my fingerprints and I just passed my boards :,)

I'm having the same issue. Do you know who I can email?
