I got a new job over a month ago, then found out I was pregnant (it was not planned). I was out for 2 weeks after & haven't been the most reliable employee. I went to the ED twice so far for having seizures (I have epilepsy). After a long talk with my boyfriend & mother I decided to resign from the job. It was stable & good money, but it is an hour away from me so it's longer than the 12 hour shift. Life just isn't easy.

bless your heart, and i do hope you have a smoother pregnancy. you probably did make the correct decission, if i were in your shoes, i could see me doing same.....the commute, new job, and work hours were a liability to your health,

No, life isn't easy at all. (((HUGS))) But you did the right thing, IMHO. You need to take care of you and your baby right now.....that's your first priority.
Thank you all. It was just hard to come to that decision. :-( It's hard to find a job in this area as an LVN so leaving that one sucked. But my health has gotten better since I resigned. My anxiety has gone down & I haven't had any more seizures (knock on wood). I just need insurance, so I'm applying for Medicare. I never wanted to get Medicare but I have no choice. I need to do what's best for the baby & me.
I have felt soo much better since I quit. I know I made the right decision. I haven't been nearly as stressed & haven't had any signs of another seizure. I hate not making any money right now, but I know I will eventually get a PRN job.

Congrats for the new life that's growing inside you. You have to make the decisions that are best for you and that baby, even if that means less money.
Good luck :)
