Did I fail the NCLEX?

Published

Hello all,

So today I took the NCLEX and it shut off at 155 questions I believe. I am feeling a little bit discouraged because I have not read on any blogs of anyone hitting such a random number and getting shut off. I have mixed feelings. I don't feel like I failed, but I don't know for sure if I feel as if I passed either. After it passed 75 and did not shut off, I began to panic a little, but I continued to answer my questions to the best of my ability. I had, what seemed to be a bunch of SATA questions, no medication calculations, and a bunch of maternity questions. It had a mixture of hard and easy questions, but I am not feeling too confident now after reading some of these topics. I studied using Hurst review as well as UWorld qbank. I felt confident going in, but with such an array of questions, I honestly do not know how I did. So to end, has anyone else computer shut off at a random number such as mine and still pass?

You had mostly SATA, which are the most difficult q. The more often you get them, the better you are doing. Start celebrating!

This is not true at all. SATA are not considered easier or harder then any of the other question types. They simply are questions. It's the content of the question that matters and what cognitive level the question is, SATA or not.

I passed in 75 and got maybe 10 SATA. Possibly 15 but it wasn't an incredible amount of them. I also only got 2 exhibit questions. The rest were regular run of the mill NCLEX questions. Please do not continue to spread this myth.

sorry to know this, hope u pass next time. if may ask, what material do you use to prepare.

I used Uworld and Hurst Review...I did not get to complete Uworld to it's entirety, so that may have been the issue.
