Did not get into school.. Next steps

I applied to my schools nursing program in September, I found out last week I did not get in for January, it's based on a point system so after this semester my points would be sky high when I reapply for fall of next year. When I found out I cried for hours, then I realized everything happens for a reason. I decided to make this an opportunity ( I have no previous healthcare experience) so I applied as a PCT at a dialysis company. I plan to work full time until fall, then hopefully part time in nursing school.I had an informal interview yesterday, and another one Friday. I am so very excited for this learning experience and hope I do get it. When one door closes another one opens! Please wish me luck!

Well, I didn't get into my nursing program either so I have the same plan to work as a PCT until I can get into nursing school :) just commenting in solidarity

It will be all the sweeter when you are accepted. And you likely will appreciate it more and work harder in the program than you might have otherwise, not taking it for granted.
