Did you find your part-time program to be more manageable?

Published

Hello,

I've recently inquired to a school in my area that offers a p/t 20mth, 3 evening program. I had never thought of a p/t program, because I felt I had my plan under controll. It just seemed to be to long, when it can easliy be done in 12 mth. But, now that I'm re-evaluating my finances, future plans, and fam. life I think it might be a good option for me.

I would just like some input from those who have successfully completed or are currently attending a p/t program. How long is your program, do you feel your better able to manage school, family, and work with this option? Any other input that my help would be appreciated.

I'm aware that it would still require full focus, time, and study as well. But I do feel it may be a bit less stressful and do able, with more time to learn all the material.

Thanks in advance for your in put! :thankya:

Hello pookyp,

Thanks for responding and thinking of me. I do have my options open and i'm not counting out McFatter. I do still have to get my math up in order to take the TEAS. I'm working on it, just registered for VPI 2 weeks ago.

Did you start a program yet? If so where and how do you like it?

Sometimes we have to just do it, to get to the next step. And, this math got me fearful and I just need to get over it and do it.

Thanks again!

I'm fearful too. I took VPI TWICE. Math is my least favorite subject. I always struggled with it growing up. But you know what? When you do the TEAS test, you need a 58.7. You have reading and language to do also. That 58.7% is the OVERALL score you need. I did good on English and Language and it outweighed my math. I got a 62.7% And I didn't do that great. You'll be fine.

No I'm not in a program yet. I'm applying to all 3 schools. Mcfatter, Atlantic, and Sheridan. So we'll see.

Where did u do vpi? I'm at McFatter, gonna sign up with Mrs. Farrell for math. She is very through gets to the point.

Good luck and I know you'll get in to 1 program if not more.

See you around.

I did the VPI from home on my computer with Mrs. Greth. Shes good. If you need help they have a blackboard app that I can see and she works through the problem With me. Its cool.

I'm gonna check her out tommorow....I had considered doing it that way but gave up the idea. Nice to know someone successfully completed that option.

Thanks again!
