Hello to all. This is something that has bothered me for a while, and I never got any clear answers. I know my doctors and nurses will never admit to this so Im coming to you to ask your opinions. I was 38 weeks pregnant and had a perfect pregnancy. I began having some painless contractions, and because they were coming every 7 min we went to the hospital. The doctor told me that I was barely dialated, but that my placenta had begun to harden, so we might as well induce labor. So we induced and everything was fine until my water broke. Then my baby's heart rate began to drop and all the nurses came running in and told me that my baby cord was compressed and we were having an emergency c-section. It all happened so fast I never got to ask what happened. I wonder sometimes if the doctor inducing the labor caused this. Is this possible? It really bothers me and I just want to get some possible scenarios as to why a perfectly normal pregnancy could end so wrong. By the way, my son is ok. He spent some time in the ICU for high acid levels(not sure what thay meant either) and some loss of oxygen. But I am so tramatized by it and I just need some clarity.
