My husband's job may be relocating us soon. I have been in dialysis since 2000 and have worked my way up from a PCT/machine tech to Clinical Coordinator, BSN, RN, CNN. Where should I look for jobs? I have a great company now, but they are small private hospital owned.....be honest!!

I have woked in the private sector as well as for Davita. Davita used to be all about the staff and the patient. Now it is about the bottom line. They have lost site of their motto. To be the provider of choice. A really large number of the staff is leaving for other companies. Kent Thiry brought this company from the brink of bankruptcy but it seems he has gone crazy just buying more and more clinics and running the whole thing like a factory. Not giving raises but so so bonuses.
The administrators can also stall your career if they do not like you. They are not all bad, but some are......
I prefer the smaller company. Less perks but better salary. I can buy my own perks.

I worked for Davita and Fresenius in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami area and they were no good. Did not care much about their employees or patients. I now work for a privately owned dialysis clinic and it is much better. My advice, try to avoid these companies.
