Does anyone know if there is a surgery to do on my eyes to make my eyesight a little better? I have diabetic retinopathy and I have those "black spots" in my vision. They are a nuisance. I have to move my eye around to even see the letters on the eye exam chart. Is there nothing they can do about this? If anyone knows will you please post.

Thanks:rotfl: :rotfl:

No, although I have those too and flashers!! I am talking about where the gel has leaked - I think. Sorry ,I do not remember exactly. I have had a couple of laser surgeries to stop the progress, no new problems though - thank God.....

Hubby has had 5 detached retinas and many eye problems. Are you seeing a specialist I hope?

Can he see well? For some reason mine is a nusiance. Yes, I see my eye specialist every year and so far no new changes. I have laser surgery about 8 years ago. Do you know of any surgeries that can correct it? I also have cataracts but they are just starting!!

I suggest that maybe you should visit your eye doctor and find out. I do know they tend to not want to operate on your eyes unneccessarily, only if its a vision threatening condition. I have floaters and flashes from a partial vitreous detachment and I have to visit the retinal specialist until it subsides. I did a few searches on online and found out that eye doctors are not too keen on eye surgery unless its a condition that may damage your sight.
