This is something that would be individualized to a specific patient. Many patients don't follow a meal plan at all, but adjust bolus insulin based on what and when they are eating.

I wouldn't know a specific one, but I use (for my own purposes of losing baby weight) myfooddiary.com
They take into account lots of nutrients, lifestyle, age, build, and they are quite paranoid about sugar amounts as much as about everything else.
It's $9 US per month though.
@Blondy - My husband is a type 1 on an insulin pump. He's been on one for 8 years. I am looking for a diabetic menu planner for personal use to plan our meals for the next month based on the best diabetic choices such as high glycemic combinations to help me so I don't have to research it so much with five kids, full time BSN program, and part time job. When I feed him healthy foods geared towards a diabetic lifestyle, he is happier, has more energy, and has better bowel function (he has gastroparesis as a result of diabetic neuropathy even with controlled blood sugars). If I could just find a generic one, I can change the options around to things we enjoy eating, if that makes sense. I just need a starting point rather than going through all of our cookbooks! Thanks for the link Anastasia! I will look into that!
