@Blondy - My husband is a type 1 on an insulin pump. He's been on one for 8 years. I am looking for a diabetic menu planner for personal use to plan our meals for the next month based on the best diabetic choices such as high glycemic combinations to help me so I don't have to research it so much with five kids, full time BSN program, and part time job. When I feed him healthy foods geared towards a diabetic lifestyle, he is happier, has more energy, and has better bowel function (he has gastroparesis as a result of diabetic neuropathy even with controlled blood sugars). If I could just find a generic one, I can change the options around to things we enjoy eating, if that makes sense. I just need a starting point rather than going through all of our cookbooks! Thanks for the link Anastasia! I will look into that!

This is something that would be individualized to a specific patient. Many patients don't follow a meal plan at all, but adjust bolus insulin based on what and when they are eating.
