ei guys 2 days from now i'll have my defense and i still don't have any pathology of my case, i need a diagram of how cva occur due to diabetes hypertension and stress..

i also need some meal plan that is suitable for may patients need.

and could any one tell me what this mri scan is all about.

cranial mri result

    • complex mass in the left corona radiata w/ extension to the left basal ganglia and left centrum semi-ovale w/ mass. effect causing subflacine shift to the right. consideration is malignant astrocytoma
    • few punctuate foci of small vessel ischemic changes or gliosis in both parietal, subcortical white matter
    • old lacunar infarcts left side of the pons and right parietal preventricular white matter
    • about 50 stenosis in the proximal petrous segment of the left internal carotid artery.
    • about 30% focal stenosis in the proximal petrous segment of the right internal carotid artery.
    • mild segmental atherosclerotic changes in the ascending potion of the petrous segment of the left internal carotid artery and in the segment of the right posterior artery,

    • complex mass in the left corona radiata w/ extension to the left basal ganglia and left centrum semi-ovale w/ mass. (location of the malignant mass) effect causing subflacine shift to the right. consideration is

    • malignant astrocytoma (this is cancer--the radiologist has diagnosed the type of tumor for the attending physician. the location is just above.)
    • few punctuate foci of small vessel ischemic changes (this new stroke is an ischemic one) or gliosis in both parietal, subcortical white matter (this is the location in the brain where the new stroke has occurred)
    • old lacunar infarcts (this is the old cva--it was a lacunar infarct--see the pathophysiology i gave you in a previous post) left side of the pons and right parietal preventricular white matter (this is the location of the old lacunar infarct in the brain)

    • about 50% stenosis in the proximal petrous segment of the left internal carotid artery.
    • about 30% focal stenosis in the proximal petrous segment of the right internal carotid artery.
    • mild segmental atherosclerotic changes in the ascending potion of the petrous segment of the left internal carotid artery and in the segment of the right posterior artery, (the remainder of this report is describing atherosclerotic changes in the various major vessels of the brain and the degree of blockage that is present in them as a result of the atherosclerosis)

i don't know how you can say you don't have any pathology for this case!!! in a previous post i gave you very extensive pathophysiology for cancer and cva as well as links to help you develop a diabetic diet. you need to know the doctor's diet order along with knowledge of what a diabetic diet is in order to work up a menu. i didn't give you pathophysiology for diabetes because you should be able to find it everywhere on the internet or in your textbooks! hypertension, atherosclerosis and cvas are complications of diabetes.
