Specializes in Operating Room.

Well, I got an excellent offer. $10,000 cash plus great benefits, perks + salary.

However, this makes me think, why?

Anyone heard anything about this hospital??

Desert Regional is the hospital I was born in. Thank the Lord above I haven't had to go back many times since then (the first year of my life was nothing but office visits and surgery but since then I'm in good health!)

It's a wonderful hospital. It doesn't have the "prestige" of the Eisenhower hospital in Palm Desert but it's a really nice hospital. It's in the middle of the desert, so it's hot. In the summer we reach 100ยบ on a average day. On a "cold day" its low 80's.

We are a WINDY city!

Of course these numbers aren't precise, but I've lived here my whole life and I can attest this is an average summer. In the winter we've received snow twice that I remember, but it melted as soon as/before it hit the ground.

There are two buildings at the Desert Regional site: The Desert Regional Medical Center, and the El Mirador Medical Center. The El Mirador center is more of a cancer center, and a optic/optic surgery center. I've never been inside much of that building other than the cancer and optic part, but I imagine theres alot in there.

I hope you come out to beautiful Palm Springs!
