DeSales ABSN May 2018

Hi! I was accepted into Desales' May 2018 cohort 14! I did my interview back in November 2016! Long story short, I was accepted into this year's cohort, but I asked for my application to be moved to next year so I will be attending next year! I did a skype interview, and my experience regarding the interview was awesome! I felt so comfortable talking to the person who interviewed me. Also, I visited Desales this summer, since I am not from the area and was very impressed! The nursing building was built two years ago, so they have all new technologies for the nursing students!!

How was your interview? Was it a group or one on one? Did you have to present during the interview?

My interview was one on one. Since I live out of state, they allowed me to sign up for a skype interview rather than an in person interview. The interview was good. Similar questions for when you are applying for a job. For example, "what would you do if there was a conflict between you and another student?" I wouldn't be too nervous. The school seems to look for students who are motivated and kind. Best of luck to you!

I just did my interview this past week and it went great! Now I'm just waiting for the acceptance which she said would take a week or so after receiving my last supplemental form. Were you contacted by phone, email or letter of your acceptance?

I'm going to start a Facebook group for the cohort. Do you have a Facebook account? It won't let me create a group without adding at least one person from my friends list. If you do mine is Gen Mun

I applied... i have an interview set up in two weeks. Has anyone seen any good housing thats not on campus and AFFORDABLE? Im currently moving with my fiance so i wanted to know if they have any housing for co-ed's or family.

Hello! I am also looking for housing. I would love to live with my fiancÃ©, but he's attending school in Delaware so we have to live separately until I graduate from the program. Fortunately for me, Desales has graduate housing which is nice. The only downside to that is the fact there are limited spaces. I don't believe Desales has housing for family and after looking into it, we can't even apply for undergraduate housing (which would have co-ed housing). I am looking into apartments around the area. They have really nice apartments 2 bed 2 bath for around $1200-1400. This would be cheaper than if you were to live in the graduate housing since that is around $750 a month. Anyways, I hope this helps! :)

I don't know if anyone new to the group will see this, but if anyone that will be attending Desales University next year for the ABSN program is looking for a roommate, please let me know! I will be moving to PA from another state so I am in search for a roommate to rent out an apartment with!
