Has anyone heard the rumors about the Dept of VA starting a CRNA program? If so please forward me some detailed information about what you know.

Thanks in Advance!

Check out their web site http://vacareers.com to see if there is some info available through a link therein.

If you can't find what you want there, I'd make an appointment and visit the NR and DON at your local VAMC, as well as the financial aid office at the school that interests you to see what these people have to say.

When I worked for the VA, all these upgrade and certification programs were available only for people who were already employees and/or were already halfway through the program in question, but one never knows whether the rules have changed (it IS the federal government, after all).

The have a program in minnestoa. It's in conjunction with the Univ of Minn. Check out the aana.com website for info.

Thanks a lot for that information. With the shortage of all nursing professionals there is bound to be some financial help to replinish the supply.
