Has anyone else applied for or been accepted to the Summer 2020 MENP cohort at DePaul? I got my acceptance a few weeks ago and wanted to see if there was anyone else considering it.

The website states that it’s greater than the national average which I believe is 87%
Anyone already looking at living arrangements? Any idea what the best/ affordable options are?

I've been accepted as well! I plan on paying the deposit fee to secure my spot until I hear back from Elmhurst and see how my interview this week goes with Rush (this is my top choice!). But rather play safe than sorry

I've been accepted and plan on attending. I currently live in Chicago and have for a few years so if anyone has any questions about the city let me know!

Wow thank you for your willingness to answer questions. I'm from CA and I have no idea about rent prices in the area. What does it look like for 1 bedroom or a studio? I assume it is cheaper with roommates? Thanks

Definitely cheaper with roommates! Depaul is in Lincoln park which is a relatively expensive neighborhood, but there may be some cheaper places for students nearby that aren’t as nice as most places in LP. I lived for 4 years in lakeview (one neighborhood north) and had a great deal (2 bedroom for $1400), my friend lived in a studio in the building next to mine and I think she pays $1300. Depaul is right off the red line train so if the neighborhood around depaul is cost prohibitive I would just look for something near the red line, maybe a bit further north?
Congratulations to everyone accepted! I’ve withdrawn my intent to enroll and have decided to attend Marquette. Tuition is cheaper, housing is cheaper, and the program is shorter. Best wishes to you all!
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all staying safe during this time.
I am finding myself anxious as the start of the program is approaching especially with this COVID19 stuff.. I wonder how that’ll affect our Summer 2020 class. Anyone else worried?
