Depaul MENP Spring 2020

Published

Hello all! Is there anyone that has applied for the Spring 2020 cohort to DePaul MENP direct entry program? I submitted and am looking at the past posts to learn when to expect at reply.

John Hopkins, UAB, Xavier, Columbia, DePaul. Well, I am reapplying to UAB because I needed to take a few more classes for them.

Aww I’m sorry to hear that @ann35211. Which campus did you apply to? And if this isn’t too personal what gpa and grades did you have for pre-req.

im just wondering because they told me they couldn’t make an informed decision yet until I finish one more pre-req. so I don’t know if that’s a good sign or bad. I had a 3.2 gpa in college. I have a 3.9 mba gpa. Pre-req is B+, B, B lab, and C.

What about your essay questions and letters of recommendation? In my experience, they definitely held some weight because I only had two prereqs completed when I applied.

Hi @ann35211. I'm really sorry to hear that you did not get in to DePaul this time. If this was your first time applying and you have your heart set on DePaul's program (like I did), I'd strongly recommend that you work to improve anything you can on your application and submit again. I was not accepted the first time I applied either. I ended up taking the GRE twice to reach the scores I was aiming for and needed. I spent a significant amount of time improving my personal statements the second time around, to make sure I put my very best foot forward. Thankfully, I was accepted upon second application. You could be too. Don't lose hope and don't give up! Happy to provide advice or additional info if you'd like.

@julieap29 Thanks a bunch for the words of encouragement. It is really disappointing when you work so hard and get told no so many times. I was beginning to think that maybe this isn't for me, but I haven't given up hope yet. Good luck as you start your program.

Is anyone looking for a roommate or know of the best way to find one in Chicago? ?

Hi everyone, I am so glad that this platform exists. I submitted my application in September for the Sping 2020 cohort for Lincoln Park. I applied when I completed two out of the 4 prereqs. I am currently taking the last two prereqs. Do you think I will be able to get in? I will have all 4 prereqs finished by December. I am nervous.

-Thanks
