Denver College of Nursing April 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there everyone!! I am starting a section for Denver College of Nursing student cohort for the April 2018 semester. I recently applied to the school for the BSN program, and I am a current BS graduate in California. I just wanted to start this to see how the process was going for everyone in regards to the admissions emails that will be coming out in the next few months! Please feel free to reach out to me on here if you guys have any questions for me as well!

Hi everybody! My name is Jenny and I will be interviewing in January! I plan on accepting the offer. I currently live in SW Colorado!

Is anybody else concerned about financing/housing/health insurance? I would love to know your thoughts. Does anyone plan on working PT? It seems like you have to, to be able to make monthly payments. Feel free to friend me on FB. Jenny Yurechko. I can't wait to meet all of you!

Hi Everyone! My interview is scheduled 12/8 for the April 2018 cohort, I'm so excited! I currently live in Florida so it'll be quite the move if I do decide to accept. I also already have my BA.

I have a few prospective schools I'm still considering, so I'm excited to see the campus and learn all about the program to hopefully make this an easy decision.

Good luck to everyone!

Hello Ciaraboscia,

Congratulations on your interview, mine is also set for 12/8 at 11:00 AM! I am also from MA so its quite a big jump but I'm certain I will be attending in April because I have already been to the interview (it's more of an information session then an formal interview) and loved everything about the school and staff and program. Perhaps I will run into you at the school that day. Please feel free to look me up on Facebook, my name is Bharti J. Parris!

:)

Hi all! Congrats on getting into the April start! I'm shooting for the July start date but I have a few more prerequisites to complete. Anyone know if they are lenient on prerequisites or is it mandatory that they are completed before the start date? I have some gen eds that I guess I need to do which is kind of annoying when I already have to big ones done.

I got accepted for the April 2018 cohort. I am just curious if anybody has talked to any of the students that go to DCN. I am reading a lot of bad reviews from this school and I am not sure what to think.

Hi dmd16,

My name is Bharti and I was accepted for the April2018 cohort as well and am planning to attend in a couple months. Although I am not a student yet, I have done my extensive research and have visited/talked to the school multiple times regarding the same issues you are concerned about -- if you would like to reach out and chat more I'd be happy to help answer any further concerns/questions you may have about the program!

My email is: [email protected]

Talk to you soon! :)

Hi everyone,

I am interviewing at DCN on February 1st and am looking forward to starting the BSN program in April! I live in Denver and will be looking for a roommate. Look forward to meeting you all!

Hi all! We are starting in less than 2 months! I am both excited and nervous. If anyone would like to meet up for coffee before the start date I'd love to meet up. I live in Aurora but can meet wherever is convenient!

Hello melbee78!

I like your idea of getting together before the start of the program! Feel free to email me your name/number or Facebook link: [email protected]

I look forward to meeting you :)

Hi Friends! I just found this thread about the April 2018 cohort, Ive been accepted and am moving to Denver in three weeks from San Francisco.

Nice to virtually meet you all! This was the only way I was able to find others from the cohort, would love to meet you all before we start!

All the best,

Audrey

Hello everyone, my name is Yuli and I am about to apply to the ADN program at the Denver College of Nursing. I am writing my personal statement, but I am not sure if I should start it by introducing myself. Saying my name and where I live and stuff. Maybe I'm over thinking it, but any help will be much appreciated. Thanks =)

I will warn people attending this program that many hospitals within the Denver metro area will not consider hiring nurses from this school. You will also have a difficult time going forward with your education being that they are no longer accreditated. It's harsh information to hear but I was thankful someone informed me of these issues beforehand.
