Hi there everyone!! I am starting a section for Denver College of Nursing student cohort for the April 2018 semester. I recently applied to the school for the BSN program, and I am a current BS graduate in California. I just wanted to start this to see how the process was going for everyone in regards to the admissions emails that will be coming out in the next few months! Hey, just wondering if anyone knows if this means that they've already made their full selection? I applied to start this April but am not getting really discouraged :(

Just wondering, does everyone who has received an e-mail have healthcare experience? I don't so I suspect that that might be why as my GPA is good

I would call the admission's office. However, it's still early in the decision notification that they may not have sent out every acceptance email yet.

As for previous healthcare experience..I graduated with a Bachelors in Health Science and a concentration in addictions.

I currently am a Home Health Aid and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a year ago I traveled to India via Boston University to volunteer as a health care student for 2 weeks.

In college, I interned at a local health care facility and shadowed/worked along side nurses who aided addiction clients for 6 months.

I also have community service experience in Alzheimer's funding and Relay for life through my college's sorority for 2 years.

And lastly, I was a community health volunteer at my college's local hospital researching topics and educating the public on marijuana, opioids, alcohol etc. for 2 years.

Don't be discouraged, I emailed them yesterday to find out when will they notify me about the result of my application and they told me that they will try to notify everyone by November 10 at the latest, and today they emailed me about setting up an interview with them.

As for healthcare experience I am a CNA for about two years now.

Don't be discouraged.... I would contact to admissions office.

As for my credentials.... I have a previous BS degree in Ecology and Natural Resource Management, 3.7 Prereq. GPA and i'm EMT- B w/ IV and CNA certified. I have about 2 years of experience as a CNA in a Skilled nursing Facility, plus I float through all the units on the hospital (ie. ICU, Peds, Onc, Nuero, Surgical, cardiac, Medical and ortho) and 1 year of experience as an EMT in the prehospital setting.

Does anybody here applied to other nursing school other than DCN? I also applied to Metro State University of Denver tno program, and was put in their alternate list.
