Denver College of Nursing ADN Program- October 2018

Is there anyone else on this board who is trying to complete the ADN program at Denver College of Nursing? I recently submitted my application for the ADN program and I am just sitting and waiting. Time is going so slow! :-D

Did you have your interview yet!!! How did it go? :-D Mine is next week Eek!

I did! It went really well, everyone was super nice and I got a really good feel from the program and the people and the whole environment! I go back next week to take my hesi!!

When do you take the hesi? I just got back from the interview! It went great. I have decided to go ahead and stay with DCN instead of trying to apply to Arapahoe.

The school is great! I really like how its strictly a nursing school. We wont be mingled in with other majors. I take the hesi on August 22nd. I havent spoken with anyone else who got accepted in our cohort, but Jeff said there should be 15-20 of us! :-)

Sweet! I am super excited! I haven't met anyone else yet either, but I am looking forward to it! What area of the city are you coming from? I'll be commuting from the north Thornton area. I am hoping to take the bus to save some money on gas and parking!

I live in Denver. Im about 13 or so miles away. Not too far. I dont drive very much, so I'll probably be taking public transit and biking.

Hi! So, I took the Hesi today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I scored a 90. After, I looked at scrubs to see what my size is and took my picture for my student ID. I go back next week to meet with financial aid. It's starting to feel more like this is actually happening:) Anyway, just wanted to share!

Thats great news! I cant wait til Im able to take the hesi next week. I'm so tired of studying for it. Haha!

Did you go and take your drug test after the hesi? I cant remember if thats when we're suppose to do it.

If you dont mind me asking, do you know why you're having to go back for financial aid? Are we able to do it the same day as the hesi?

I feel ya! Be very comfortable with ratios, proportions, and percentages. I had a lot of those questions. Also, make sure and know your conversions. I actually forgot to take the drug test and remembered once I got on I-25 so, I will be doing it when I go back next week.

I did meet with financial aid today but, they only gave me some papers that I need to bring back next week and then that's when everything gets finalized.
