Hi, Anyone out there applying to the Delaware Tech nursing program this spring or fall? or anyone currently in the nursing program already? What are/were your total points?
I am just about finished all the prerequisites and plan to apply in the fall 2017. Currently I have accumulated 10 points but I haven't taken the NLN yet. Just trying to figure out what I need to score on the NLN in order to get into the program.
I’m so sorry to hear to didn’t get in ? that’s so silly to me that having your CNA helps you get in easier. Especially if you’ve taken the CNA class already.. because when you take the HLH you don’t have to take the CNA exam so it shouldn’t matter whether you’re certified or not. Don’t give up! You should just be able to schedule the exam with prometric since you’ve already completed the class.
Hi! I just wanted to comment that I only have 12 points. I haven’t heard anything yet, and I applied to the Terry Campus. I’m really nervous about what’s to come. I’ve only seen people saying that they have either 13 or 14 points, but not 12. I got a B in A&P and a B in math. I am kinda nervous that it may not be enough points but I still applied anyway and I’ll know for sure whether I’ve gotten in when I get the email. I told myself that August and September would be months filled with congratulations and so far so good. I’m just waiting on this acceptance letter! My advisor told me it would be impossible to get into the nursing program with my grades and score on the TEAS (61.3% ??♀️) but I’m applying anyway and we’ll see what happens!
Also, I am a Patient Care Tech II at Christiana Hospital, and I work on the Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit ?. The “II” part basically means I do administrative work on top of the CNA work. I get paid either $17.12 or $17.14 per hour (I’m not sure on the cents part LOL) and I do 12h shifts with 15% shift differential from 1500 to 1900. I will be changing my shift from 0700-1900 to 1100-2300 come October. This is just in case anyone is looking to work as a PCT while in school. I started off at $15 but you have to be CNA certified in order to work as a PCT or at least in nursing school, I believe.
Everything happens for a reason and I pray everything works out for everyone! ???

Hey! Applied with 12 points and I didn’t get in, they were basically looking for 13 points or more. Did you get in??

Congratulations & OK. I took the CNA class at deltec. I was going to take the test to get certified but they scheduled the test the same week as the TEAS test so I cancelled the test CNA test.
