Does anyone know if the e-line program for del mar college/ TAMUCC offers a lvn-rn transition? I am a LVN and am interested in getting my ADN or BSN but was not sure if these programs offered anything for LVNs.

They have had their bridge program for a while now. I graduated 3 years ago and was one o the very first licensed off their eline program for traditional RN. They had bridge students online already but they were in the trial stages. They still have it as far as I know. Call Delmar nursing and ask for Barbara Schmidt, she is the school director.
I loved the program personally and did the traditional RN in 18 months, a record at the time I believe. I would have never completed nursing school without This program an I'd have been divorced if I tried.
I have and always will give praise and thanks to them for pushing this program and making it available to working parents like myself. Totally changed my world....
What do you mean their "bridge program"? If you enter the RN program as a LVN do you still do the same work as someone with no healthcare background? Are you able to opt out of some classes because you've already taken them?
You said you did the entire program in 18 months, are they modules and not semester-long classes? How many classes did you average each semester?
Thanks for the info!
They are modules and I took 4-5 classes a semester. It I at your own pace. You can take up to a year to complete a semesters worth of classes without reenrollmemt or you can finish it in 4-5 weeks like I did my 4th semester. You have 4-5 entollmemt periods a year so if i was motivated the whole fime i could have finished the program in 12 months. Semester one took me 9 months though due to procrastination.
The bridge is the lvn-rn program, you skip some classes.
do you have a link for this?

Can you show me where on the website that information is located?
there is no information on the e-line website that says they have a transition program. i know they have a on campus one...i was told that the only option for lvn's was to start all over from scratch with the online generic program....
There is a phone number On there. Call it and ask. :)
