Dekalb medical center nurse residency

Hey so I have an interview for Dekalb medical new nurse residency program in Decatur, GA in June. I am super excited! Has anyone been through this already? How is the process? Any information on the test I may have to take? I am very interested in getting an emergency position.

Hello, I am a nursing student who graduates next year and I am specifically interested in L&D as well, and am interested in applying to some residencies. If you don't mind, can you tell me what you did to make your application stand out in order to get an interview? Do you already have work experience in that area? Did you do a preceptorship in L&D, etc. Any advice you're willing to give will be appreciated!

Well representatives from HR at Dekalb Medical came to our school and gave us the information. Told us to apply and then attend the Open House Panel Interviews. So they didn't specifically call us in for the first interview. But depending on how well you do in the panel interview that determines if a specific manager calls you in for a 2nd interview. But no I don't have any work experience in LD just my clinical hours and senior practicum is also in LD in which I have to complete 168hrs.

yes, but for the externship program. I had my second interview last week.

Hello, I was wondering if someone could tell me when you applied earlier this year for the residency program. Also, are you able to apply while still a student? I'm trying to prepare for next year. Thank you.
