what degree to pursue?

I have a bachelor degree in Marketing. I have an associate degree in nursing and have been working as a registered nurse on a med-surg/oncology floor for 3 1/2 yrs. I am looking to branch out and off of the 12 hr night/floor nursing job. I was wondering what would offer me the most for my buck? Get my bachelor of nursing and certification for med-surg, complete and bachelor to master degree as a nurse practioner, bsn-ma nursing ed,

or bsn-ma clinical nurse specialist? The problem is, I am not sure where I would like to specialize. What to do?:nurse:

How about a master's with an administration focus? MBA, MHA? Maybe MSN?

If you plan on getting a masters there is no need for the BSN.

really? no one has explained that to me. I just thought you had to complete the bsn-msn program. So I would just apply to a masters program directly?

*** Well you would have to apply to a school that offers ADN to MSN with no BSN (or any other bachelors degree) required. You will have to take some "bridge" courses that include SOME of the content of a BSN. Usually this is something like 6-12 classes and be done in one or two semesters depending on the school.

Search "RN to MSN" and spend some time wading through school websites.
