Decision about School...

I would really love opinions about school.

I am currently an RN with my ADN. A couple months ago I applied and was accepted into the online RN-BSN program at Colorado Christian University. I just recently got my information on student loans and can borrow what I think is a very high amount for just one year (summer/fall/spring) when it's going to take 2 years to complete.

However, growing up I ALWAYS wanted to be a doctor, and since going into nursing I have felt that I sold myself short and should have gone to medical school. I have patients and even other co-workers tell me that's what I should have done. I even had a doctor tell me it's what I should have done.

So...I've checked into several RN-MSN FNP programs and I'm leaning highly to Walden University, it's flexible, books/materials are included in tuition and it would be similar pricing for getting just my BSN at CCU. So now I have a quandary, getting my Masters has sort of always been my plan so going to WU makes sense. But I would love to hear from those that went/are going there. Or those that have any opinion.

Thanks in advance!

well, you still would not be an MD. Why don't you apply to medical school? If that is not an option, the nurse practitioner is a great career, but you will not be really content unless you are working at what you WANT to do.

If being an MD is your dream you're not going to be happy with being an FNP, either.

Also, I have very little respect for online MSN programs at for-profit schools. I'm not alone in this.
