Just recently got accepted into two great hospitals. I already accepted one offer since I did not know that another offer will evetually be handed to me.
JOB A:
PRO
-in a cath lab
- since majority of my experience like my previous internship was in a Cardiac Stepdown unit, I was leaning towards this job offer.
- it's not specifically centered in one area, so if I feel that cardiac is not for me, I can always transfer in another unit
-possibly guaranteed job after passing my boards
-starting a residency in cath lab for new grads which is quite rare because majority of hospitals require years of experiences in a telemetry/medsurg
- the assistant manager graduated from my college
CON
-nurse benefits not as great as job B
- salary is less than a dollar difference than job B
-instead of 12 hours per day, hours maybe 9.5; therefore, workin possibly 4 time per week rather than 3 times per week
-not much diversity
-might be similar experience i had from my previous internship
JOB B:
- have an interview with manager in ambulatory unit
- recruiter is very interested in me but since i dont have oncology experiences, she is trying her best to find me a suitable dept since they dont accept students in cardiac unit.
- great benefits. nurses are very happy. nurses are taken care of and respected.
- salary is a dollar more than job A
- will learn a whole lot, not just solely on cardiac... will definitely help me be a more well rounded nurse.
-staff are very welcoming
- not in a cardiac unit. hospital is specialized in cancer.
-not guaranteed to be hired as an RN
- not even sure if I got into program since i havent received a job offer but just interviews with managers
- i have no experience with oncology
SOOOOOOOOO TORN APART! Help please. give feedbacks!

Im biased but cath lab just because I love cardiac and it has the best potential for a job. Get in, get the job work and then move around if you find out its not what you want.
Thats what I thought! I love cardiac too! :)

This is what I usually do in these situations:
In your head, pretend to have gone with one decision (for example, Job A). Then let it sit with you a while, imagine all aspects of your life "in those shoes".
Then "try" the other one - play around with it in your mind, see how it feels.
Sorry, I'm not explaining it very well and it probably sounds really lame...
But it works for me :)
Good luck whatever you decide! :)
Haha! I tried to do same but I guess my imagination in an ambulatory care is kinda vague since I havenever experienced being in this unit. However, I decided to choose the cath lab so I can improve what I have learned in the cardiac field. thank you so much for your suggestion tho! It's quite true that cardiac nurses are on demand! :)
