Death bed visions

Hello everybody. I can not think of a better place to ask this questions other than a forum full of what I believe to be Gods angels in human form.

In your experience taking care of the injured and specificaly the dying, what are your thoughts and experiences regarding those ready to pass being able to see something just prior?

THere are so many accounts but from people and professions that dont fit the bill in terms of those qualified to answer this. In your opinion is there more after this? Aside of any religious beliefs do you on a personal level feel there is something else beyond?

Hi everyone, i work in admitting in an ER. I just found this blog, the subject of which I have been interested for a long time. i wanted to tell you about a doctor whom went into hospice care because of what he had experienced with patients at the end of their lives. All one has to do to avoid that fate is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, study the Bible with true understanding so that you know what to do and what not to do, guard your heart against any evil and unkind thoughts. It takes a lot of time and effort to truly understand the bible so do it before your time run out, and then you have to put it into practice. OH believe it yes, God did create this place, it is originally for the fallen angels.

Hey guys, sincere but skeptical here. How do you know these visions are real, and not due to pain killers, or the brain lacking oxygen at the moment of dying?

Because i have seen them personally several times in the 15 years of working in hospice. For example:

* my doctor patient just died in the living room (around 2pm), i went to his room because i needed to get a supply, and upon walking in the threshold of the room i saw his computer screen wake up from sleep, enter his password dot by dot, and login to his bank of america account online;

* a patient died in his room (i predicted to his family less than 6 hours prior that he will go around 9pm, he went just before 9:15pm) and we gathered in his kitchen table with his daughter and other caregiver. everytime that caregiver mentioned his name, the light over our head blinks, i looked at the neighbors' after a few minutes this kept on happening, theirs didn't seemed to be bothered, only the light right above us. by the way, his "ride" was there as early as friday night, he died sunday night, i "met" with them. you don't see anything, but you feel their presence very strongly. they (whatever entities they are) don't get discouraged and go away very easily.

hours prior, i have witnessed several of these patients shake the rails of their bed and called for loved ones, which upon asking family, they confirmed the person(s) they called died years ago. if they can manipulate matter out of reach even after death has been pronounced/ documented, i have no doubt these recurring events with different individuals are NOT localized in their own minds.

Jesus explained heaven and hell in this way...He spoke of two men who died, one a poor man who went to heaven named Lazarus and a rich man who went to hell. "And being in torments in Hades (hell), he (the rich man) lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.' - Luke 16: 23-26. Jesus spoke of hell as a place of torment, fire, very hot and eternally separated from heaven by a great gulf or space. No one can go from hell to heaven or vice versa. Eternal life is eternal and so is eternal death. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes unto God except by Me." - John 14:6 - Trust in Christ as your Savior so that you won't be lost forever in the torment of hell.

I have seen many deaths working on the "special care" unit (basically hospice or near-hospice residents) of a LTC facility.

I've seen many different experiences. One that comes to mind is an elderly woman who was so contracted, she was pretty much bed-bound for years. She held on, I believe, for her large family, who visited her often. At the end, she would alternate between terrifying visions of a dark man coming to take her away, her deceased husband "coming up the driveway" to take her away, and the unfamiliar little boys and girls a previous poster mentioned as being common.

As others have mentioned, the dying often need "permission to leave" their loved ones on earth. It will never cease to amaze me, that someone close to death will hang on for hours, even days, totally insensate to our eyes: we believe they are not conscious to those in the room. Yet, when their family members finally tire of waiting and leave "just for an hour, call me if anything changes" ...that is the hour the loved one will pass. They wait until the family is ready to let them go.

This is a very emotional thread filled with strong beliefs. Are the visions of the dying just our brains flooding with endorphins? Is it an experience with a higher power? I do not know, and that's ok with me. It's important to respect everyone, and respect their experience, especially when when we cannot explain it. When I was completing post-mortem care, I always spoke to the dead, "Ms. ____, I'm going to turn you now, so I can change the sheets, your family will be by soon, I'll help you get ready...". Do they hear me? I don't know....but it's important to me to show them the same respect I always did.

Also...I am disheartened by some on here who have spoken ill of those that passed after frightening visions. I have seen many pass after such experiences, including my own grandmother (and if anyone deserved heaven as far as I know, she checked all the boxes). Many of them are in a frightened state of mind after battling pain, personal guilt, or mental issues such as Alzheimers, and their visions seem to be a reflection of this....not evidence that they are going to hell. Who are we to judge them and proclaim where they went? We see these events through imperfect, earthy eyes.

My family pastor (he married several of my family members, his phone number was on speed dial for every one in my family, his son-in-law's dad performed my parent's wedding ceremony, he pastored the church my family went to for 22 years) was in hospice care. My sister was visiting him and he looked overhead and reached out with a big smile on his face. He asked my sister if she saw that, she said no, and he told her Jesus is standing there and it's a beautiful sight. He died two days later, in January 2002. My mother-in-law was in the hospital and having major problems, kidneys shutting down, starting to develop gangrene in her foot, fluid buildup in her lungs, etc. She asked my SIL if she saw the light, and my SIL said no. My MIL described a beautiful light, Jesus reaching out to her, a woman with long hair standing next to him, and my MIL's mom standing there too. She told my SIL that she was waiting on my husband to get there so she could say goodbye and go. My husband got up there the next day (she lives several states away and it was the first day of kindergarten for our son, so he wanted to put him on the bus that first day then flew straight up there), she'd pulled through for the time being. She died a month later, but we all fully believe she would have gone that day if my husband had been up there, and that the gates were open for her. She did call me two days before she died and thanked me for loving her son and giving him a family, and when she found out we'd agreed to take care of her dog she went in her sleep. That was September 2017. When my FIL was dying (mesothelioma), my husband and I drove up there 26 hours before he died. He talked to us, asked why we were there (my husband had been up there, came home, and we went back up there less than a day after he got home), then looked behind us at the wall and asked my husband to open the door so he could go. That was October 2014. People do see things before they die.
