Dealing with the DEA , any advice?

Hi everyone. Wondering if anyone has had any dealings with the DEA? I'm in Mississippi. I have a lawyer and we met with the DEA agent once so far and that was back in November.

My lawyer said he has talked to the agent about pretrial diversion versus conviction. From what I understand pretrial diversion is like probation.

My case hasn't come up with the nursing board yet.

When I was in rehab (inpatient) , I admitted to stealing discontinued narcotics from pts while working in home health. I came clean.

Luckily I never had a pt complaint.

Really praying the DEA will have mercy on me since I've completed rehab and have been clean and sober for 14 months now.

I have put my family through so much already.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar?

    When my partner, who was taking Percocet and OxyContin, died at home, I was advised by the police officers present to refrain from publishing an obituary. Apparently, the theft of leftover narcotics from the homes of recently deceased is a frequently used source of street drugs. This is probably why the DEA is involved. I should think your attorney would be your best guide as to how to proceed.
