I am applying to the DCCC 2011 program, when are you taking the TEAS? Are you applying for the day or evening program?

Good Luck! I called the college and they said that a study guide is available in the bookstore. When I took the NET test I used the study guide purchased at the bookstore and found it to be very helpful.

I am currently #1 on the RN waiting list for DCCC's chester county Evening / weekend program. I am taking the TEAS and applying for the 2011 class, assuming i'm not getting in.

Here is my advice:

Buy the study guide, but get it online at ATI Testing - Home

because it comes with 2 online practice tests that are EXACTLY like the TEAS that you will take.

and this, I cannot stress enough... TAKE THE TEST ALL 3 TIMES! Do not assume that your score is good enough unless you get a perfect score. I got an 85% on the NET and was told that I would def. get in, so I didn't bother taking the test for a third time, and as I said before, I am now on the wait list, not in the program.

good luck all:)

I am applying for the 2011 nursing program at DCCC. I took the TEAS the end of June and although I passed all the sections I am trying to raise my score as much as possible since DCCC only accepts the highest scoring students. So I am scheduled to take it again in Sept. I will be appling for the day at Chester County. All the sections are ok except for science, I passed with a 64% but it was impossible.

I took the TEAS twice - once in June and again in August and just submitted my application this week for 2011 Chester County. I have no idea if my score is good enough but I honestly don't think I could score any better and am afraid to use up my last attempt. What's everyone scoring? My application is already in so it doesn't matter - just wondering?

I am applying to chester county also.I didn't think you could apply till after the end of August. My overall was 80%.I am taking it again to try and up my score. What were your scores? I don't think it really matters, you can study as much as you like, the test is very random, you can just hope and pray you studied the right stuff!good luck!

Actually you don't even need to submit the actual test, and if you wanted to, you can always submit another copy to them, so don't think that just because you gave them everything that you can't take it again. What was your score?

The application period started August 16th - until October 29th at noon. They said we won't find out until January - especially with the new test. Hopefully it will be sooner? I scored a 93 overall and am hoping that's good enough. I figured if its not, I'll take it again next spring after my A&P classes and hope to do better for 2012. So hard to know and so loooong to wait!

93 is a very good score! I'm pretty sure you are gold. I got an 84 on the NET last year and ended up 1st on the wait list, so I'm pretty sure you will get in. This year we got our letters in November, so I'm sure we will hear before January, but it is still so long to wait!

Good luck!!!

Also, would anyone want to start a study group? For the TEAS or any of the classes?

A 93% is VERY good. I am sure you noticed that the national average is around a 64%. With a 93% you were probably ranked around 98-99% nationally. The V version is supposed to be much harder than the other versions. Are you applying for day or night? Either way you should feel very confident.

November would be so great - let's hope! I'm going for day b/c my kids are in school so it would be easier with their schedule.

I took the online tests through ATI when I was studying and version V is definitely harder than version IV and I would even say the online practice tests are harder than the real deal so don't get discouraged if you don't score well in the practice tests. I think its worth taking them though b/c it does get you used to taking the long test and you can see where you are at both from a time and study perspective.

Good luck everyone!
