I am also petitioning but want to take the teas one more time! On other threads everyone is talking about their overall score on the teas. At the nursing seminar they said they go by the reading score first. Have you heard that also?

Yes, you are totally right. They do base it on the reading part first, then science I believe. Overall score is a general basis as to where you'll fall so I think that's why people use it... But it's the reading score that really counts! How did you do?

Is that a change that started this year? If so, I think that's a good thing. I start the program this fall and last year they went by the adjusted score first then went to the reading score if two adjusted scores were the same.

I think I could have done better I got a 85.7 not sure if that's good enough so I plan on taking it one more time. How did you do?

I am not sure if its new.

I got an 86% overall. 90% in reading. I take it again in 2 weeks. I'm freaking out- I don't even know what else to study. I'm burnt out from studying for it! So stressful! I hope our scores are good enough :/

I am petitioning for the 2014 Chester County program. I am scheduled to take the TEAS Sept 12th and then again on Oct 24th if needed. I took the online practice test and totally bombed the science portion about a week ago. I did fairly well in the other areas though. I am going to the info session this week at Chester County Hospital. I didn't know they used the Reading portion to decide who they will accept. I got a 96% on the practice test, so fingers crossed I can do the same on the actual test. I wish ATI practice tests weren't so expensive, I would love to keep taking them. They seem to be great practice. Oh and last year I think most people received their notices mid-Dec. One person posted Dec 13th. Good luck ladies!!

I just got a letter from my petition, so 100% they look at reading only first for top spots.. If there is a tie they go to the science part.

I take it again next week. SO so nervous.

If other people have taken it, please post your scores. It'll help all of us. Thanks and good luck to all!

ok so I started putting my pettion together sent all my background stuff off and made one mistake now I have to send the dpw child check back(ugh). anyway I was thiniking i wasnt prepared to take the teas after i started studying for it. I realized this stuff is hard, I havent been in around this kind of stuff in years, anyway I really want to scheudle my teas test for the the Oct 24 date, and just try to see what happens. I'm nervous about it, I would hate to take the test completly bomb and have that score. I cant retest and re-try for 2014. I think I may do well if they start looking at the test by subject to score. If I practice my butt off for reading and science maybe that is all I need to pass to get in (lol)... Any sugguestions

Hi! I say it can't hurt to try! You need to pass on all sections so make sure to brush up on it all, but def the science and reading. The ATI practice tests are very helpful!! Good luck! You can do it!

Hi all,

I took the Teas this summer. Got a 72 overall. Break down is as follows

71.4% in reading

66.7% in science

76.7% English

76.7% in math

Overall I met (and mostly surpassed) the minimum requirements

My program rank was high on everything but reading (usually my strongest subject, I felt that section was much harder than it needed to be)

Do you think is is enough to get me a spot immediately? Or even high on the waiting list?

I turned in my petition to Chester County. Please give me some insight.

anyone willing to help a sister out? give some encouragement????
