Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knew what the lowest gpa accepted into the ADN program was? I was told by an advisor that last year the lowest gpa accepted was a 3.04. But I'm curious to see if it has gotten any lower. I currently have a 3.08 gpa. I passed the TEAS Test and got a pretty good score but someone told me they just look at pass or fail for the TEAS Test. I'm freaking out because when I was in high school I did dual enrollment to get out of high school earlier because I hated it lol. But at the time I didn't know what I wanted to do and if I got a B or a C I was cool with it. Now I'm kicking myself in the butt. I've never been great at math and while working 40hrs a week I thought it would be a good idea to take Statistics and try to get an A. Now I have a C and there are only 2 tests left and even if I ace them, it will give me a 79.4. I'm scared of my gpa getting any lower. I keep seeing other people talking about or posting online that they are applying in May and they all seem to have a much higher gpa than I do. I'm really worried about not getting in. I am turning my application in tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knows if they check the gpa after everyone has applied or if it's the gpa at the time you apply? If anyone knows anything I'd love to hear it whether it's good or bad. I feel so stupid for not caring about a B or a C when I was younger.

Hi I am applying in may. My gpa is a 3.3 as of right now and teas is an over all 78 percent. I'm nervous about mine.... my advisor told me the lowest last semester was a record at a 2.9 it really depends on the semester you apply. Every poll of students is different for each semester. I am in the same boat screwed up in the beginning. But all my nursing prerequisites are As and Bs. I went to the Nursing advisor and she said they look at pass or fail on teas and it really only matters if they have two GPAs that are the same and only one seat open then they look at who has the highest teas score. Hopefully they have low GPAs this semester and we both get accepted!! Good luck!
Also I would wait to turn in the application till after grades are posted. Print your transcripts now and hold on to them to see what u get. If you get a A your gpa goes up and use those transcripts and if you don't get a good grade and your gpa lowers then you have the transcripts now to use. But I would wait just in case your gpa gets better. You can apply all of may. It doesn't matter when you turn in your application. They don't look at them till June 1st
Yeah. Well since I only have the final left I know that I'm either getting a C+ or a B. So if I get a B my GPA will stay the same anyways. I went ahead and applied this past Friday for the program and my counselor told me to not worry because the lowest gpa they took was a 2.90 which really really shocked me. And then she proceeded to tell me that the lowest that was taken last August was a 3.04. Of course she said that it all depends on the gpas Of the people applying. But it still is making super super nervous because it seems like everyone applying has a much higher gpa than me. After I applied she told me I won't hear anything back until end of June or beginning of July ! I'm really hoping I can get in and prove that I can do this and that my gpa doesn't show what I'm actually capable of. Good luck to you! I'm sure you have nothing to worry about ! I was told by a friend infirst semester to apply as early as possible in order to get the campus you want. I want Daytona, which is the campus everyone wants loI Post on here when you get your acceptance letter as I'm sure you will !
I heard it doesn't matter when you apply but who knows lol good luck to to you too! I am a nervous reck. I'm finishing my AA this semester so waiting for grades to be posted to apply. Let me know when you receive your letter also.

I'm glad I found this thread as I am super nervous!! My gpa is sitting at a 3.08 as well. Passed my teas finally on the third attempt! My advisor also informed me that it is all based on the applicant pool. I will keep my fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone .
Aww! Good luck! Its nice hearing other people's stories that are similar to mine! We are in the same boat! I'm glad you found this thread too! I went ahead and applied May 1st ...and now the wait begins. My counselor told me not to worry but I am anyways because this is super important to me! I was nervous about my statistics class and I just found out that I got a B in it! So it doesn't affect my gpa ! I was also told that it all depends on who applies. Fingers crossed that other people have lower gpa's than we do! Lol. Anyways...we won't find out if we have been accepted until end of June or early July! So good luck to you guys! Let me know when you find out !
Yes the wait begins! I will let you know either way.. I really want this too, it took me awhile to figure out that nursing is what I wanted to do, so I screwed up my gpa in my earlier school days. (Been paying for it ever since) . But it is possible!!! I've heard of students getting in with lower gpa's than ours.. I feel like mid June to July is so far away!!! Is it better to turn in your applications early or does it really not matter? I applied May 5th. When I talked with my counselor, she made me feel like my gpa and TEAS scores were enough.
And congrats on stats!
I'm applying the end of this week good luck to all
Good luck xobecca!!
@laedwards me too! My counselor Melinda Hamilton said that I don't need to be worried but that yes it does depend on the people that apply and their gpas obviously. I don't know if it is better to turn your application in early or not. My friend just finished first semester and told me to apply early. She said if you apply early you will more than likely get the campus you want. The problem is that the Daytona campus is the campus that everyone wants. Thanks! I'm glad it worked out even though it wouldn't have made much of a difference if it didn't apparently. Yay! Well good luck! Can't wait to find out. I guess we will know instantly depending on the size of our packets lol. Good luck to you too xobecca! Fingers crossed we all get in!!
