Hello everyone. I am a new RN grad (Got my license July 2019) with no previous work history in health care. Submitted many applications to New grad and residency positions with no success.I only got an interview next week with Davita for their RN training cohort .

Any information about the first interview would be much appreciated. What kind of general and specific questions should I expect?

Is HD a good position to start my RN career? What is the pay for RN training and new hires in SF bay area?

They might ask to descibe an example of when you went above and beyond for another person, and to descibe a situation where you all had to come together as a team. Watch some dialysis videos on YouTube too.

Specializes in Dialysis.

Good luck, let us know how it goes! As far as first job, you're in a tough market, so any nursing job is better than no nursing job. You will hone your assessment and communication skills, as well as do teaching with patients. I can't answer for interview questions, as I was referred by a friend of a friend, and we just had small talk for an hour, then I shadowed for 2 hours, and started the next orientation period

Just finished my interview. It was a 15-20 minutes interview with 2 FAs . Questions were walk us through your resume, why Nursing and why Davita. Describe a time when you had a conflict with a supervisor or coworker and how you resolved it and a few more similar questions.

Have mixed feelings. I was very nervous but overall I think it went well. Now the wait begins.

Hey Zack! How's working as a Dialysis nurse so far? I'm also a new grad and will be starting off as a dialysis nurse next month. Do you like it so far?
